Olney Hamilton Hospital Foundation
Hamilton Hospital Foundation ( HHF) began in
1999 with two $100,000 nucleus donations, one from the Pearl M.
Armstrong Estate, and the Travis Edwards Foundation. The goal of the
Hamilton Hospital Foundation is to have a one million dollar endowment
fund in ten years. The purpose of this foundation is solely to benefit
Hamilton Hospital. The principal amount of the donations remains
invested, only the interest on these funds is used for hospital improvements
each year.
Some of the improvements which the HHF has made
are: new sofa and recliners for patient rooms, removing and
replacing asbestos flooring, refurbishing patient showers, granite countertops
in patient rooms and the nurses' station, updating plumbing in patient rooms,
sleeper chairs, wheelchairs, patient beds, x-ray machine, refurbishing
Lovett-Meredith Rural Health Clinic, furnishing sleep rooms for out-of-town
staff, emergency entrance awning, historical displays in the hospital and
clinic, cardiac lift chair, new ice machine, c-arm x-ray machine, and
patient monitors.
Please, remember that the interest on your
donation to Hamilton Hospital Foundation continues to work for the betterment
of the hospital year after year. A permanent display board of donors
and a book listing donations in memory of or in honor of your recipient is
prominently and proudly located in the hospital hallway. In lieu of
flowers for a funeral please consider making a donation to Hamilton Hospital
Foundation. It is tax deductible and perpetually helps the Hamilton
Hospital.
